PVE isn't PVP. You have different goals. Your enemies are different.

PVP, as I understand it, is at its best when it's a matter of pitting your wits against your opponent's. But PVE mobs don't have wits. They have relatively predictable AI and greater numbers and higher levels and other little cheats (faster casting time, seemingly more energy). So the fun (for some) is in finding the fastest way to kill a predictable opponent, or in simply enjoying the story line the game makers designed, or the sense of accomplishment ("finished 2 quests a mission and gained a hero...good night's work").

However, while the methods are somewhat different given the general lack of rez in mobs, don't you usually end up targeting a single person to kill in PVP too? And you can't just target any enemy in a mob, you want to consider agro range, target selection (monks or aoe spike damage casters for me). Not complicated but ignoring these things can make fights take much longer than necessary.

I personally tend not to group up when doing quests. Some people like to just rush through, others want to check out a nice piece of scenery, some want to read the quest dialogs a few times, some want to map or cap skills. But in a mission you have a set goal and the group's aim is to finish that goal as efficiently as possible.

As for Sunspear points, have you checked around for other quests to do? Taking the Command Post from Lonai and the 3 Building the Base quests it's made up of is worth 460 points and shouldn't take more than an hour. Doing mob bounty killing will make up a good part of the rest of those points. I think you get 4pts in NM for bounties in Kourna, so you only need to kill 85 more creatures to hit that. If you say there's an average of 6 monsters in a mob, that's only about 14 mobs, you should get most of that on the way to those fairly short quests I just mentioned.

Unlike the Kurzick/Luxon track, it's pretty easy to get SS pts just by playing the game and doing quests. And once you get HM active that makes it easier for each subsequent character on that account.

Hope that helps and that you are able to enjoy the game more.
